Death to the Infidels!
So we've been busy.
Recently we have been showing off the infidel scum and their machines. We've slowly been revealing some of the subfactions and hinting at many things to come - don't worry, we have a very structured plan and more will be revealed soon, for I know many of you are eager to find out how things are all going to work.
There are still many Vong units being created by Seregruth, he is hard at work as always, carefully shaping the Vong faction. He is also contributing much to props for land maps. When the time is ready, we hope to overwhelm Triangulum (Senior Land Map Maker) with too many props to know what to do with. For now, land maps are on hold until later, for we have many great ideas and wish to focus on gathering the props first.
Lord Enpremi has been very hard at work doing many special assignments for the team. Prop creation, making building models (many), infantry, learning animation, model poly reduction and also teaching me 3D Modeling. Enpremi is always hard at work for the team, and I am very grateful for all his efforts to help whenever I ask. We have much to show from this mod member, his time for greatness will come ;)
Cheesecake (Master Particle Maker and Grand Inquisitor of Space Maps) has been very very busy behind the scenes the past few months. His work is highly confidential and makes up many of the surprises to come for the mod. Aside from particles, Cheese has also been assisting Wariscool (Divine Coder Almighty) with the actual coding of the game. Starting next year, we can expect to see Cheese's talent with space maps as well, for we are getting close to having a nice prop base for him to start with.
Wariscool. We all thank him for the tremendous efforts he is putting forth. The mod is being coded, and Wariscool is working on the most secret of projects with me. If Cheese's work is considered "Confidential", then Wariscool's is considered "Black Ops". Expect big things from this new team member.
Warb Null. December is being dedicated to Warb. The guy's always working and even though he would never himself ask for the special attention, he deserves it. Warb has allowed us use of nearly all of his collection, helps with any questions and has been making some spectacular models that we have not shown yet. I want to personally thank you for all your efforts Warb, we love having you as part of our team. The Hutt kick ass :) (in case this does not translate, it is an american expression = awesome)
Me. Textures have been placed on hold for a short while. Instead, I have been needed to assist and ensure that the models are all of the same caliber and are uniform in design. I am making a temendous effort to ensure that we have no ships that look "out of place" or mis-matched. When you play our mod, each faction's ships will all be a similar design and style, even if the models are created from several team members. I am also proportionally scaling each unit to be accurate so that we do not encounter texture distortion in the game. When the game camera zooms in and out, all textures will scale/zoom uniformly. This is to avoid zooming in and seeing one ship looking crystal clear and another looking all pixelated. Textures will resume in the new year, so no worries, they are coming.
We also thank Ozzy for his support and assistance with ground props. We hope to be seeing some nice collaboration between Ozzy and Triangulum in the future.
We have a lot in the works, and the team works every day on projects. We have many things going at once, so while we may seem quiet, we are in fact very very busy. We thank everyone for your continued support, and remember, if you do not vote for us for the MotY Award, we will enslave your galaxy and destroy your planets. We are the Yuuzhan Vong, Do-ro'ik vong pratte!
