Photography is the process, activity and art of creating still or moving pictures by recording radiation on a medium, such as a photographic film, or an electronic sensor. Light patterns reflected or emitted from objects activate a chemical or electronic sensor during a timed exposure, usually through a photographic lens in a device known as a camera that stores the resulting information chemically or electronically. Photography has many uses for business, science, art and pleasure.
Loved the look of this old door ( one of 2 - 2nd and 3rd floor - one over the other, on the back-wall face of an old converted factory.) Put it into a file of pics I uploaded for texture work. Same Canon, auto adjusted and slightly trimmed.
Which camera do you use again? The image looks grainy (not wood grain :P).
For exploring around for these types of shots, I use a casual, nice little Canon PowerShot A590IS ( compact and very versatile ). It appears a bit grainy being that I zoomed a bit being that it was up on a 2nd floor level - 20-30 feet distance, at an angle.
Fair enough. Looks like it will serve as a nice texture with a little post-processing.
I realized recently why I was getting this grainy look on many magnified shots. I had simply set the ISO too high.
