The Doctor has regenerated 11 times. The Zen moment when you realize all his adventures for every incarnation are still going on all across time and space simultaneously. It is a very quantum moment. It is every moment.
I didn't quite understand this last scene. This old guy looks familiar, is he a past doctor(i didn't watch them all), or is he maybe the future doctor, beyond 13 ??? Tho as far as i know doctor can only regenerate 12 times, mind blowing :O
That is Tom Baker, the 4th Doctor. In what will likely be his last appearance on the show. Perhaps only a tribute, but it is still awesome.
And, if he's your favorite Doctor...well its a dream come true.
Side note: it is possible for time lords to get more regenerations, the master has done it.
