Pah.. Let me fix that.
Between the deliberate ambiguity, the whiny main(shinji makes amuro look peppy), proto-moe aska and rei, I cannot decide what I hate more about this anime.
I don't even want to start on E.O.E or the reboot.
The show should have been about the biomechs and none of that annoying ambiguous garbage. If you think eva is deep you got trolled. It is really just left with purposeful holes so we will be stuck saying WTF years later. Which we still are.
Examples of others shows that do this: LOST.

But seriously, I can't believe you just compared Eve to Lost, you need help.
I did, same gimmick.
Eva would have been brilliant if it stuck to the biomechs being awesome and eating angels.
Well at least Eva did it waaaaay before Lost.
And it's not as bad as you make it out to be, it's a lot better than most of the crap out these days.
Just my opinion man, not like it is going unmake the movie or reboot or countless pictures of the dull rei :P
Finally I can agree with you on Rei, she was abysmal.
We need Bright Noa to fix This! Or at least a WH40K Table!
