also i heard (can't remember where do don't ask me) windows 8 takes another 20 percent of a game's revenue for just being the os on which the game is being paid, and valve takes 20 percent so that means that the developers only get the remaining 60 percent which isn't much if your just an independent dev.
anyways i'm not getting windows 8.

Actually, Windows 8 has a much easier installation than W7.
And seriously, it's $40 and not as bad as most people think (as long as you're an advanced user).

yeah because having a old OS system which is not updated anymore with lots of leaks and no support for higher DX versions is totally smart :D
