Regardless of what tanks you prefer, I think all the bashing the M1 Abrams gets is a bit unfair at this point. I mean yes, it *was* advertised as "the best tank". And possibly it was. 30 years ago. That makes it older than many of us.
If today's tanks weren't better than a design that old that would be a problem.
P.S.: Yes I am aware the Abrams was modernized and stuff, but the core design is pretty much the same afaik.

They are in the middle of modernizing. But only just. We're still using M113s. ;)
