This is so true. Luckily my physics teacher actually taught our class about the metric system because no one else ever teaches it. I never understood why our education system doesn't teach the metric system.
Because its a French system and the U.S. inherited their measuring system from England wich was the most renowned historical enemy of France. And they never even bothered to update or correct that too.
