Piratebay is however an non-profit sharing site, they get all their moneys as servers hosts. But this guy can just take a nice cup of GTFO!
I agree with Griffin. It seems no one here seems to give a **** about why they were shut down... That reason being racketeering and money-maundering.
They were making money off of hosting illegally acquired software... I personally pirate stuff so i don't give a **** about that, but charging money for it is wrong. Use the Pirate bay for that since it's free (as Griffin said)
That being said, the entire site wasn't all pirated material. However there are more efficient and FREE ways of sharing files and such. When i worked for the Ultimate Empire at War mod we used TRAC, and you can also use Dropbox...
If Megaupload returns i won't care much, i never used it and never will, but as long as they charge money for things which are pirated then they deserve no sympathy...
