It does need skill otherwise there wouldnt be so many people that suck with it lol. Altough i prefere the scout myself sometimes ( less spread more mobile and guranteed kill if you go for headshots anyway)
Every weapon requires at least some skill, but the AWP requires much less than other weapons.
The AWP just needs aiming before the first shot (if you hit, of course). Meanwhile, with rifles, you also need to compensate the recoil, and the length of the bursts decreases with the distance (and a one-shot kill requires a headshot).
I remember one day, I got so mad with those freaking AWPers that I went: "Everybody is gonna use AWPs? I'll use an AWP too..." It was on Mirage, I held A pretty much single-handedly. After a few rounds, the terrorists stopped focusing on A (with a few peaking, being killed or backing off), and it remained so until the match ended. I was the top scorer, easily.
Comparatively speaking, the AWP doesn't require skill. People that suck with it are just even "noobier". xD
That's how I play Mass Effect sometimes.
Pretty much.
The very first time, during the first round of the first game. After that, nearly everybody gets AWPs.
******* AWPS. A noob one-shot kill weapon that requires no skill (but people insist, and apparently, genuinely believe, that it does).

I'll neguev my way to the sniper nest.
In my end though, the experience from previous CS Games pretty much made me treat the game as if it was just those Goldsource version.
