Yes. That'd definitely help. When pregnancy once again becomes a regular outcome of having sex, hookup culture will die overnight, and marriage exclusively will once again be incentivized. Which means people would be more family/long term minded if they'd need to actually raise kids with the person they'd want to sleep with. Although to really seal that, we'd also need to limit divorce and remove most (maybe even all?) single parent taxpayer funded benefits.
Once starting families is the logical and most beneficial option, then people will have the actual perspectives that you speak of. They would then also want to actually fix the future for the sake of their offspring, rather than just endlessly wait around for governments and rich ******** to stop ******* up our climate.

The current system treats the single parent as effectively married to the state when they should be married to a human spouse. Instead of having everyone pair off into families, we've allowed a system where people are incentivized to marry an institution composed of faceless humans.
