Well I know for a historical fact that Marilyn Monroe was a model with a not so great past, she was abused by her father or uncle if I remember correctly and nobody believed her.

When she did become a model working for Fox, she spent most of her time entertaining the guests in sexual ways or as was quoted by herself "I spent most of my time on my knees".

Then she got married and her husband was a baseball athlete who beat her senseless because she was attracting many other people I guess, they continued to be together regardless.

After that she became a drug addict because of all the "entertaining" also involved stopping by the abortion clinic damaged her reproduction and she could not have children while she did want to.

She died of an overdosis.

I am truly amazed that I remembered all of this from one TV show I saw a few years ago.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the entertaining was forced upon by Fox.
