BUT... It was REALLY the American Revolution that started it all off. Americans revolted agaisnt the English (which kinda meant it was the English who started the whole thing, really lol) and won, kicking the English off of America and freeing themselves from King George the Third (If my history serves me well lol). French then saw that and though "Mais mon Dieu! Quelle bonne idée!" and went and chopped the heads off of loads of people (mainly nobles).
THEN comes the 20 years of total chaos, as us French couldn't decide what we wanted. We tried everything, from a Republic to an Empire. Then blah blah blah, we got our a** kicked by the English/Austriche at Waterloo after a huge War started by Boney. Kinda a cercle thing going on. English get their a** kicked by America, America gives the whole concept of a** kicking to France, France kicks it's own a** (only the noble part xD) and then, happy with the whole a** kicking idea, go and kick everyone elses a**. The English, not happy that they got their a** kicked by the Americans, went out and kicked French a** with the help of the Coalition.
