That's some high tech heating system you've got there...
(I guessing that's what it is)
I'd say it's probably trying to un-freeze the car so it can be moved/driven. Frozen axle oil can literally wreck a car in seconds if you try to move the thing without defrosting it; and that's before you even worry about the engine...
That's what I was getting at...
