Both Russia and China among others are rapidly growing emerging economically independent nation states that in the process are rising and challenging the current US status quo as the worlds only super power.
The rest of the civilized world wants said world to be peaceful / multi polar and not just uni polar & centered around the needs of a few US plutocrats.
