Don't you just love illusions and the fact the there is just one camera which doesn't allow depth perception?
I actually had a debate with a friend that looking through one eye wouldn't allow them to have proper depth perception. How I wish I had this gif close by...
you do get some depth perception from a single eye, since it can track side to side and infer the shadow movement as 'depth'... however, if you're straight in front of the object you'd have no depth preception with a single eye.
And, back on topic: ... dammit, I don't have anything funny to add. moving along...
as someone with one eye, you do have some depth perception but it just sucks. Many times i reach for something and just miss it but its by the tips of my fingers rather than completely missing it (although that does happen)
I played baseball just fine when i was younger, although pop flies gave me fits.
Because it's normal that a green man would park his car to pick up a toy tractor.

The easiest way to if it's an illusion is to look for a shadow.
