Knowing chemical naming, I'm always annoyed by stuff like this. No where in the actual news does it say it's ETHANOL! All that alcohol means to me is that is that it has an OH group (aka, an alcohol group) on one of the carbons. That's it! How can people assume that it's their favorite organic compound just based on it being called alcohol?
I was referring to the article (if it can be called that) in the image. Since I don't have time to go look up papers on something when I have my own papers to write. Granted they are just lab reports/answering a bunch of questions but still very time consuming.

From the research article on this event it says ethyl alcohol(C2H5OH) also known as drinking alcohol was identified.
I say chill out and have a drink.
Heard our friendly local comet can hook you up with some if you ask nicely.

hm the article referred to by the image still says ethyl alcohol in the second paragraph.
long lab reports? just burn them up and have a toast.
that's how i got my degree in oenology.
granted i do not remember much.
