Actually, according to Greek mythology Minotaur was created quite differently and rather more bizarre...
(and you really don't want to know how)
A woman and a white bull, if I remember correctly.
Edit: and now that I've looked into the matter, she uses a hollow wooden cow to make the white bull copulate with her.
Wierd mythology.

Greeks must have really loved their... ahem... sexual pass-times/hobbies...
Why in the hell were there so many women/men having sex with wild animals anyway? AND WHY WERE THE WILD ANIMALS JUST AS DESPERATE AS THE HUMANS?!
It's like the whole Greek mythology is just one huge compilation of zoophiliac stories to some degree.
