I think (don't quote me on this) that they are trying to get guys that are interested in their personaility rather than their physical 'aspects'. And by seeing a dude just stare at those 'aspects' they would avoid him.
If so then its a stupid bloody idea, hell if I can tell if a guy is a prick and restrain from punching him why the hell can't women....
doing this means shes trying it to be her main attractive aspect, she would attract the kind of guy that likes them big, so when he finds out its fake big surprise hes not interested any more.. pointless.
