How to get rid of this sign (pretty much forever)
There's two ways:
1) Allow Flash player to update without asking the user (usually a good idea to get rid of this hassle at least you have a very slow connection):
To configure Flash so it updates without asking you every time, go to Control Panel, Flash Player, 'Advanced' tab, and select the 'Allow Adobe to install updates option'.

2) Disable the update update check service. Two alternatives to do this: Same as before, but select 'Never check for updates', OR install CCleaner (download link: Softpedia.com ), go to 'Tools', 'Startup', 'Scheduled tasks' and disable the Adobe Flash Player from there.
Make sure of visiting this page Adobe.com every now and then to check for updates manually, since if you have even slightly outdated Flash it'll likely crash often on sites like youtube or about anything that uses Flash. Ah! Also make sure of downloading both the first two Windows .exe installers, you need both.

On an additional ranty note, that Adobe downloads page is quite extremely well hidden, to the point I couldn't access it from the Adobe site, but from an outside link.

Yes I am aware this post isn't exactly humor-related, but this is such a common issue I couldn't resist the chance to be of aid.

I read somewhere these updates are basically adverts, a very typical kind of adverts that are made simply to remind you of the presence of Abobe Flashplayer.
In fact, this isn't even up update or bug fix but simply a redownload, or reinstall...

I know it sounds crazy. But the sooner we get rid of flash, the better.
