I am currently looking for among many things people who can make model and texture as well as play testers online to find things that need fixing and also to get feed back. Now moleman pointed out to me that having everything loaded on a single race slot is not the source of lag in HWU but rather the LODs so imma gonna through and fix them cause i used the same LOD for each LOD level, turns out your not supposed to do that and also it has to do with your computer specs, internet speed and the connections for everyone that is playing with you online. Vs Cpu works fine for me with no lag whatsoever just need to figure out what needs to be done. HWU is in need of new ship models to replace our aging models from HW 1 and Cata ports to more or less compete with other mods, mind you i feel that the only good thing about HWU atm is the raw amount of races in it. Anyways post away if anyone wants to and lastly to everything who were keeping up on the mod, sorry for vanishing like that i ended up getting caught up in stuff i dont ever want to have to do again.

Well, you could likely ask the Homeworld: Remastered team if you could use their HD models from the HW1 era, due credits of course. As for the Cataclysm models, you would probably have to find someone willing to make HD upgrades of those.
Also, get the Somtaaw Acolyte to open its wings when it engages in combat, that's been bothering me for a while now, :P
I dont think Jk would want to do that because i believe that doing so may be little his mod cause if everything from his mod goes into HWU with regards to the ship models who would want to play his mod then eh? That is the concern he has.
The Homeworld Remastered Models are not available for Shared mod use until the completed public release unless specifically advised otherwise by jkberna.
I would say that you should wait until the release. There's no point in wasting effort if the task is already being done.
Then again... There's always FX-Commander if you want a remastered race which, in my opinion, has way too many 'improvements'.
FX people dont like sharing their models they only let me use their Khar Toba to replace ours and i helped them 2 both of Enterprise E's cruisers just for that -_-.
Another way to make the HW1 races more attractive in this mod in the mean time would be to remove the buildable modules and instead have chassi upgrades snd sensor ships +the advanced drive research of cataclysm upgrading thf speed of entire ship classes, armor upgrades up to 3, should probablh be class wise too and the energy canons upgrade as well.
Additional research ships could be built as in HWC being focused at a research area at the time, as in the PTV mod these modules would then link and mantain the research area each one provides, for each linking the total health of the research ship should increase.
