I lost that high numbers because 1 infantry unit counts as 1 casualty and every time a defence building was destroyed 3 or more soldiers would run out and in to the Machine guns of the enemy. I hate that all units are set to auto guard mode and you can't change it.

Yeah I have been considering rebalancing infantry for quite a while. There are also a lot of AI bugs regarding to infantry in ZH. I done some AI programming tests and discovered that infantry are the main cause of the AI lag issues as I reprogrammed an attack team that had lots of infantry to use only vehicles instead (replaced each infantry unit with a vehicle) and there was much less lag and then added nothing but infantry and the lag increased significantly. :/
I think the standard rifle infantry do to much damage to armored vehicles.
