Founded by those who oppose the status quot, and defy the oppressive regime of the Empire. The Syndicate is a conglomeration of various organizations who have taken matters into their own hands, no longer willing to rely on the Jedi Order or the Federation to protect the galaxy from the likes of the Sith or Imperials. The Procursator-class Star Destroyer is a light star destroyer class used by the Exterior Union. Analogous to roughly two Gladiator-class it is designed to patrol the Companion territories alongside the Dagger-class in groups of three to eight and keep the peace in the area. They are smaller than an ISD, though its smaller size gives it better maneuverability. The Procursator is also more dedicated to naval combat, carrying less troops, to make room for heavier shields and power systems.

The ship is over armed for its size, out gunning even an ISD, its reactor, while powerful, can only generate about 60% of the power needed to power its combat systems. As a result, the guns are usually "stepped down" with the main guns generating 110 teratons of power per shot in normal combat operations. This puts the Procursator in a position to perform two duties in combat operations, primarily Hit and Run. Jump in, hit hard, run away, and have the capabilities to take on anything able to catch it. The other operation was ambushes and surprise operations. Due to its size, it can out maneuver larger ships, and is able, with the sacrifice of speed, fully power its weapons and produce firepower higher then that of a ISD. The problem with this second operation is it leaves the Procurastor in a position of weakness, as such, they always operate in groups of three or more.
