Salvation Prophecy Thread - Bundeals

Salvation Prophecy is the game I've alway wanted to play. Just a space game that lets me go to planets and explore. It's a mix of different genres and is looking like it could be a fantastic game. I just hope it's not too ambitious. We all know how that usually turns out. It has space battles, planet battles, 4 different factions in the game, and alien planet exploration...what more could you ask for?

In case you haven't already noticed, I'm really into space sims. I love 'em. Can't get enough of 'em. But I've still not found the game I've always wanted. X3:Terran Conflict came close, it had everything i wanted except planet exploration. There's a few games that are working on this now and one that is actually out called Evochron Mercenary. You can fly straight down to the planets without any loading screens, but, there's nothing to do there. You can dock at a small station and trade, get missions, thing like that, but that's it. The developer says that in the next update he's adding mechs you can pilot on the planets so we'll see. But I'm getting off topic.

I spoke with the developer of Salvation Prophecy and from what he told me, the game is mostly finished. He's just looking for the right distribution deal before he releases it. There's a demo too, but he wants to wait until a full game release before he releases it. He say's that progress in the demo can be carried over to the full game and that's one of the main reasons he hasn't put it out there yet.

Salvation Prophecy is developed by Firedance Games, a one man team, and uses the Ogre Engine. It looks to be a single player game but that's fine with me, I just want to play it So if you're space junkie like myself and many others, keep this on your radar.

Games involving strategy elements aren't really my cup of tea, but still - that game looks pretty awesome
