Let's Talk About E3 Thread - Bundeals

i thought i'd make this so we could discuss all the cool things we've seen from E3.

some of my favorites so far are: The Last Of Us by Naughty Dog. this game looks really amazing. it's very gritty and realistic. really glad i bought that ps3 last year :p

and, Assassins Creed is looking better than i thought and i thought it looked great. i love how he climbs thru the trees and the whole outdoor setting is just great.

Watch_Dogs also just blew me away. it looks to be using the new Unreal Engine or something just as powerful. wonder if it's going to be a next gen game cause i didn't see anything about what platforms it'll be on.

Microsoft's conference was shit as usual. they are so focused on Kinect it makes me want to fucking puke. at least they had some new splinter cell footage.

didn't catch EA's show. fuck them.

Ubisoft, well there conference's are always so strange, i usually can't keep myself from watching. and i was completely surprised by the amount of quality games they had to show. everything was good except for Just Dance. i wasn't crazy about Shootmania either but deathmatch style games like that aren't my cup o tea. but it didn't look bad by any means.

What are your thoughts on what you've seen so far? getting ready to watch Nintendo's show here shortly, i'm curious about what the Wii U has to offer.

I was disappointed at the Tomb Raider gameplay footage - the combat looks like an improvement, but everything else about it just looked bland. Almost all 3rd-person action games this current console generation seem to slowly be merging into one, until there will no longer be any difference between them.

Rayman Legends looks fantastic.

Black Ops 2's campaign looks like it will be worth playing.

A year ago, I probably would have been really excited at the prospect of Star Wars 1313... but now (forgetting that the snippet of gameplay looked just as bland as Tomb Raider) when I think of Star Wars, all I see is this:

Waiting for the Nintendo show, already got my Wii U pre-ordered, but still clamouring for more details. I'm hoping for a lot of new game announcements.

I'm also hoping that this is the itinerary for the Nintendo conference:

• Opening with the Zelda orchestra
• Lots of Wii U & 3DS stuff announced
• Shigsy walks on stage waving a sword around
• He apologises for Skyward Sword, claims it will never happen again
• He announces that he is spearheading development of an HD Zelda
• HD Zelda trailer, grown men cry like little girls at its awesomeness
• Fin.

You can tell the Nintendo conference was underwhelming (that's an understatement), when you come away thinking "Well, Wii Fit U looked quite good".

What's wrong with Black Ops 2?

Nintendo's con. was a joke. Lego City looked good though.

COD, the series that releases the same game every year and charges like it's a new ip. everything is wrong with that.

Disagree with you there, they aren't the same. That's like saying that the Assassin's Creed games are all the same - no need to buy AC3, as you've already played it. Plus I've had my moneys worth out of each entry in the series (around 200 hours of gameplay for £40 is pretty good value).

That Zombi U looks interesting, but it seemed to have analogue stick aiming - I hope the Wii U gamepad won't make developers shy away from using Wiimote pointer aiming (so much more responsive & accurate).

well the last 2 assassins creed were pretty much the same. which is why i didn't get either of them.

E3 is useless since they don't bring back R.O.B. (the 1984 Nintendo robot).

Seriously, I didn't follow the E3 this year. But they were not talking about Tomb Raider last year? I remember watching MW3 in game footage and also the new Tomb Raider game trailer. (Maybe It wasn't E3)

Hope the Wii U will help Nintendo to have a good profitable year. I'm not totally sold for this. Since we have a Wii at home, we mostly play, me and my 4y old son, on platformers like Donkey Kong and New Super Mario Bros. So we don't use all the potential of the console but those games are awesome. The controls are nearly perfect. Mario Kart is also great!

I should probably check the Nintendo E3.

last year's Tomb Raider trailer got me excited. this year's trailer not so much.

I think the only chance the wii u has is if the whole wii mom crowd buys it, but i just don't see them having the same success. everything i've heard people say about it is very negative. i don't want it to fail cause i like nintendo, but this is the way i see it.

There was a couple of things that were nice about this E3, and i thought the idea of Defiance, was.... a strange one? but still kinda cool at the same time, kinda sucks that it is going to be on the SyFy channel (which means i dnt think that many ppl will watch it). So after seeing that and some other few ideas, i rly do feel that this years E3 has been the worst imo :/. Also i usually hate CoD too, but i want to play black ops 2 campaign ONLY for the fact that i can drive on the freeways that i drive thru irl lmao >.>

And if you dont want to see any of that, basically its a full on MMOFPS (TPS), that is playable on PC/PS3/360. The story of the MMO will go side by side kinda with a TV series that will start aroun dthe same time as the release of the game on the SyFy channel. And stuff like if theres a major NPC in the game that leaves, he cud show up doin something in the show after, which is kind of a unique idea or w/e. I think its cool and crap, but its hard to manage prob. And if this means anything to any1, the mmo is made by the same ppl that make Rift the MMO. theres ppl that say it sucks, and it didnt do much, but I myself think for wat rift was, it was a pretty good mmo, for not being a huge company and being there 1st game and all that.

looks interesting. i noticed 2 people from Dexter that are gonna be in the show. Dexter's "wife" and that ho he slept around with in season 2.

Why haven't we seen anything about the new Legacy of Kain game. even if it is a reboot i'd still like to see something about it.
