The medic IS the assault class. They've been merged (it's not new, ever played Battlefield 2142? The assault class combined with the medic class is so much better, you then get a lot of teamwork going on in the game).
well well well, 2142 class style :D, assault medic, anti-armor engineer, support, and recon sniper. thought it was going to be back to the BF2 5 classes style.
It'll be really easy to spot an engineer or recon, but there may be a small amount of confusion when trying to figure out whether someone is either assault or support as they both look rather similar, but I think that will only be from long range. When you get in closer and/or if you've played for a very long time, you can see whether or not they're holding an assault rifle/machine gun and notice all the small details on their gear (e.g. assault helmet/other minor details looks different to the support).
I don't think it's a problem. I would like to see the opposing team's skins too soon.
No Assault class? NOOOOOO! :(

I'm glad we don't have a royal clusterfuck of similar classes like in battlefield 2.

Oh god no.
Actually, Battlefield 2 had seven classes
o oops, i knew i missed two of em.
Why the M16a2? It should be the a4 model
Because no one wants to be forced into using burst fire the instant they pick up the game,
I like these classes, more teamwork ahead.
I like the redesign for the sniper. I'm just worried that these class redesigns will make it hard to tell which class is which on the field.

It's called real life, get use to it. You can't judge what weapons someone has just by what clothes they're wearing in reality.
It's called a video game. I want to play a video game, not a sim. When I want to experience real life, I won't play Battlefield, I'll go outside.
Gameplay should NEVER take a back seat to realism.
That engineer looks beastly!
it's 100% Battlefield 2142 class system on new engine
I like the BF2/1942 system better.
