I'd rather trust no-one, until he or she as an individual earns my trust. And even then, not accept everything they say as true - because whether I trust them or not, everyone is susceptible to corruption and no-one is perfect.
And as for my ideas and my theories, they are entirely my own - if you want me to follow yours: no.jpeg. I am eager to see what you believe - I want to know what you make of "all this ****", but only to further my own understanding, not to adopt yours entirely in place of my own.
Whether you wear a lab coat, or silk robes; I know that your beliefs are no more right than my own.
This is somewhat true, but the guys in the lab coats work to even disprove each other's theories in order to move forward the human race. Not to mention real scientists are very smart and have some of the best education available.
I'd trust a scientist over a guy in silk robes any day. Why? They have evidence on their side to prove what they say is true. Anybody that comes at me making claims is an idiot in my book unless they can back that **** up.
I must disagree on that. Nothing is equal outside of the realm of mathematics. Do you consider flies your equal? Does satanism is as good as any other religion? Is barbaric civilization better than our current civilization? of course not!
I respect your religious views, truly I do. But you cannot possibly think that everything and everyone are equals. It's simply not the case. This is the basis of chaos. Everything is different. But from my perspective it might be a good thing, as, nothing is perfect.
One can improve from the mistake of others. Thus chaos is for now necessary, and in any case, it is a part of our universe. Conclusion: There are not only one truth, but there are some better than others. As any other things.
That's just it, I couldn't care less what "side" you're on. I care much more about what your, personal beliefs than those of whatever group you may be a part of.
I would rather believe someone who told me their theory and let me decide whether I want to believe it then someone who tells me everything was created by a God/Gods and that if I don't believe him I, in his mind, go to hell.
Religion and science don't kill people. Boohoo, people murder people. However, indoctrination is still a bad thing because people who are clinically sane don't commit astrocities.
That seems to be a bit of a stretch:
Maybe I misunderstood what you meant to say, but if you're suggesting that only those who are not sane are capable of committing extreme crimes, and that only people who follow a religion are capable of being insane, then I disagree.
He's implying that religious people can become quite insane over their views. An example of this would be Muslims and the extremist Al Qaeda terrorists.
The Muslims may not be insane, but the extremists are.

im being a smarta$$ right now, but what if the scientist wears a silk robe instead of a lab coat?
This is assuming all sides are equal. It sounds nice. The problem is there is only one truth.
Maybe any of the sides is right kid... accept it...

this civilization is barbaric in too many ways... And that's one of reasons I can't believe in greater good, in any God.
I was referring to a socially disorganized society. But I understand your point.

That's kind of what I was trying to say; I guess I just overcomplicated it.

"Ah, I see", said the blind man.
In that case, I agree.
