True, but then again, they remain with those silly beliefs, letting them influence their lives and how they view the universe later.
I think that image is just a show of word choice. Children are afraid of monsters in closet. I am sorry, but you were not perfect even as a child.
Grown-ups have experienced the world to an extent where ridiculous superstition should not be nearly as prevalent as it is, that is the point. Children are certainly not perfect, personally they annoy me.
