Homosexuality was widely acceptable in ancient Greece, and it was most prominent in the military. The Spartans encouraged homosexual relationships in their army, and Theban sacred band was entirely composed of homosexual couples.
I had some spare time to research this and I discovered that we are both correct to an extent. It wasn't used as gossip fuel or showed any form of weakness if a roman male had sex with other males but it wasn't unusual to see those who didn't do such things. Wikipedia is great :P
I remember hearing that the senate tried to bust Caesars popularity by spreading rumors of him having a homosexual relationship with someone who I can't remember now.
ah yes the spartans, they actaully had problem with it. They had to order the men home to have sex with there wives and the women had to shave there heads dress and act like men and then get there husbands flat out drunk to get them to proform.
Sorry i didn't specify what i meant (i;m in no way a bigot)
I only meant that Christians hate non-heterosexuals, and Alexander was a homosexual/bisexual yet was infinitely better than Noah, and was probably one of the best leaders the world has ever seen...
EDIT: Yes i know that homosexuality was accepted in ancient Greece
lol- yes he was a homosexual, but remember the greeks (and yes i know he was macidonia not really greek) celibrated homosexuality
it was a good thing to them, kind of ironic considering that the greeks are what western society is based on, and they loved homosexuals but in our more "advanced" society it was legal to kill gays only afew generations ago.
You could march around a wall for 20 days or whatever, or you can siege it XD
Lol.
Just... Lol.
Hey, he was called "Great" for a reason! :P
Isn't it also said that he was homosexual (or at least bisexual)?
Yes, and so?

It was also frowned upon in ancient Rome if you didn't have some form of homosexual relations with men. Don't quote me though :P
Actually, I think the Romans thought of the Homosexuals as we do now: they're tolerated, but homosexual relations were used as gossip fuel.
I do know that in Gallic societies, homosexuality was a crime and sin, and offenders were sacrificed to Teutatis.
