For me Last Airbender was great, now this is also great but something is missing, i don't know what and i can't explain it.

Well, Aang was the last of his people continuing his quest 100 years before the start of the show.
Now, someone else is the avatar who doesn't have quite
such an impressive background
well she is born into an era who has forgotten their roots. As the modern era machine continues to grow a lot of the old legends and traditions are lost. Basically its like Japan during the Meiji Era
