Ah... Touhou Fantasy Kaleidoscope never get old.
For people who want to get into Touhou but dont have time or for some reason are unable to play the games I recommend checking out the fan made anime.

I definitely recommend at last trying the games.
But in case you want to play Touhou games but dont like danmaku shooting style of games then I recommend checking out this En.touhouwiki.net
Its a fan made series of SRPGs but they follow the events of Touhou canon so its a good place to start.
