Especially if haruhi adopted the mentality of Asuka ... That would just not go over well for the rest of the world :P ...
However, the appearance of angels would make more sense if Asuka/Haruhi was making them appear due to depression and self destructive thoughts and tendancies.
Plus the irony itself would be exceptionally thick considering Asuka sank into depression because she felt that she was of no use. Where as haruhi is basically the reason the world exists. If you combine haruhi not knowing about her power and asuka's self doubt of her worth to the world, you would get this physical and emotional chain reaction of destruction. All because of self doubt and ignorance.
The numbers of angels would increase as haruhi/asuka's depression and suicidal thoughts increased, thus propelling the increasing number of appearing angels and sinking her into a deeper depression when she feels she is of no use again.
So basically it would all end with "suicide by complete world destruction" :o

Hm, I guess your correct, on that first part anyways...
I like to give a more detailed description of my thoughts other than "Hey! those are boobies! lol!"
