Description
The series takes place in a small town where everyone is fairly average. Until one day some mysterious neighbors move into town during the middle of the night to a grand mansion on a hill. The next day what appears to be a new disease appears in the small town, slowly killing off residents. What is happening in this small town?
(warning, this anime has some extreme psychological terror and gore. Seriously, its probably the most disturbing thing I've seen all year.)
O a psychological terror i take it the after effects of watching this linger around for a while?

Seriously, there are some extremely ****** up scenes in this series its definitely top 5 most horrific things I've ever watched ... it starts off pretty slow, and then it just turns into a meat grinder of flesh and emotion (one of the main themes of this anime is basically the will to survive and also the morals people will set aside just to live.)
This girl in the picture for example gets her head run over by a tractor and you see her body convulse as they hammer a wooden stake in her heart.
If you guys live in the US its available on funimation and hulu site ... if not well ... hopefully you can find it somehow :/ ...

(although that trailer is misleading ... that makes it look more like traditional horror, its not really that scary, just downright ****** up and shocking)

I don't care if it have extreme scenes, as long as it's not horrible like shock images. :P
It has shock scenes ... plenty of shock scenes ... I didn't find it super scary, but its just shockingly ****** up ...
The trailer actually makes it look like it has more horror in it than it really does ...
to me the blood and gore isn't nearly as bad as the scenarios in which they portray it (psychological terror)
I guess what im saying is its really shocking and disturbing ... but not that scary ...
are we talking about the same kind of "shock images"?

It doesn't have any nudity, and its not as bad as something you would see in a 4chan thread ...

I think i might watch this with my friend he hasnt seen any anime b4 i can scare him away for life.
