and what I said is not really a rule. I just reminding, like the posting guideline, that posted contents should have good reason like promoting an anime series, game, mods, etc, new anime review, or something suitable with this website.

Most of the pictures I see on here I have absolutely no idea what Anime they are from, so I figure it's just a generic anime picture~

it's not that strict, imo.
not always must from a serialized anime or manga, it could be from japanese games, webcomics, or mascots that well known or have notable fanbase (e.g. vocaloid, touhou, hetalia, etc), or crossover and comedies around them. tokusatsu and cosplay also acceptable in certain degree. or it also could to promote notable artists like from deviantart or pixiv.

as for Apple, it seems either you haven't watch that much anime, or those are the pics that haven't cleaned up yet (because bad title/description). because once in the blue moon there must be someone mass-upload things here, and there's no janitors atm.

this is why proper image title and description should be given. this group sphere is wide, it could prevent people asking generic questions like "what anime is this?" or "source please?" in the comments section.
and also some guys here don't really know what they are uploading. the values were lost.

note that I said these not to restrict people here in uploading things (because I have no rights to). it's just my two cents to make this place better.

Heh. Your right, I don't really watch many new Animes. I have no sources that I would find new Animes except a website here and there and I really don't have the patience to look for something that I would find interesting

Wasn't it also a rule/guideline that you should mention the source of the picture? like posting pikachu you mention pokemon.
