Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
Synopsis

After moving into the quiet town of Hinamizawa, Maebara Keiichi spends his days blissfully in school often playing games with his local friends. However, appearances can be deceiving. One fateful day, Keiichi stumbles upon news of a murder that had occurred in Hinamizawa. From this point on, horrific events unfold in front of Keiichi, as he soon learns his close friends may not be all that they seem. Based on the amateur mystery game by 7th Expansion, the story is told in a series of different scenarios.
I really dunno what to say.. i've seen Higurashi, but not fully, now i'm re-watching it while i wait for the remaining K-ON!! ep. to come up, and i gotta say, damn.. why didn't i (fully) see this sooner?

it was amusing, but got really repetive after some time. i know that repetition was the whole point, but still couldn't stand it when every "scenario" followed a similiar pattern.

hmm, what made you assume that it was 'someone unimportant'?

One: The person said Satoshi ran away.
Two: The person that Oyashiro's curse is not real.
Three: Rena faces stage 3 Hinamizawa syndrome and kills a random person. (sucks to be that guy in all three)
Rather be killed by Rena than tortured by Mion :S

Higurashi could be a little gorier :P seen worse in terms of gore :P

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
Its has blood and gore but Bleach has way more blood and Neon genesis evangelion has even more gore than this.
bleach isnt that gory.
Watch Gantz, **** brix. (but seriously if you're not over 18 (or whatever "mature" is), don't watch gantz ...)
(although I never saw neon genesis evangelion and I heard its a classic)
eva series isn't really gory, but End of Evangelion movie is definitely waay more disturbing than gantz.
and yeah, even if bleach has some blood, it's not gory AT ALL. it's a freaking shonen, all shonen manga have tight restrictions on them when it comes to depicting gore. anime based on these shonen manga have even greater restrictions...
gantz is WTF anime. but yeah, since it's seinen anime it can contain extreme gory-ness.
