i'd prefer kamina as a guy. simon is more suitable to be a girl since he is really "soft" and silent. and shy as well. and almost everything a girl can have in terms of attitude.
I just realized there are no female characters with a cliche "manly shounen protagonist" attitude ...
Generally the protagonist in shounen is a strong, never give up sort of guy ... why not a girl?
A character like that has alot of potential for laughs if you ask me >_> ... (maybe even a serious role ... although it would be hard to build an entire series around a character like that.)
of course there are a few girl characters that come close(Air Master, Toaru kagaku no railgun, claymore, corpse princess, etc.) However, at some point they all tend to expose her feminine, vulnerable side to the audience on several occasions ... **** that ... I want to see nothing but pure manliness in a girl character.
Haha, then couple her with a boyfriend who takes the vulnerable feminine role.
Or if you want to do some mildy disturbing scenarios in your comedy you could couple the very manly female character with a very manly male character ... which would give off this weird "homosexual bros" kinda vibe.
Guy: "Hey babe, let's make out."
Girl "yea! LET'S DO THIS THING!"
