Natsu Dragneel was originally an abandoned kid who was taken in a by a dragon (literally) named Igneel. Igneel became his father and teacher, igneel fed him, taught him how to use fire magic, taught him how to write and fight. but in an unfortunate event, igneel while on a mission, suddenly vanished and never returned, so Natsu decided to join a guild, and chose fairy tail as his guild.

natsu is a sometimes careless airhead who always gets into trouble when taking up jobs, though sometimes when he gets serious he lets out his good side. He is also a caring guy, because when he met a girl named Lucy on his way to fairy tail after a long journey, he helped Lucy get into fairy tail, because Lucy also wanted to be a fairy tail member.

Natsu uses fire magic taught by his and doesn't use weapons with them. he is popularly known among his friends and foes as Salamander.
