If he says the were born on Dathomir, Coruscant, Naboo or created from Darth Sidious calling on the force to create an evil lifeform, that is how it is.
You argue because author Joe Scmo wrote in a book years ago that it was that way and that is what you believed, and because Lucas Arts years later decided to explain more of THEIR characters story and it contradicts what author Joe Scmo made you believe years before.
So here is the rules now George Lucas, if any author out there decides to take your character and write a book about them and give them a history, you are no longer allowed to give them a history. They beat you to it George. You should have told all the fans the full life to death story of EVERY Star Wars character or else somebody else will.

Well that definitely should be on his to do list. Any war has to have which battle happened at what time.
Usually that also tells you why they were outgunned at this battle but had overwhelming force at this one. And who died when.

Secondly: LAS will probably be good, but I heard it'll be more of a noir series.

Star Wars Episode 1 threw 6 were written and directed by George Lucas. Star Wars is George Lucas. Without Lucas there is No Star Wars.
Lucas Produces The Clone Wars and oversees every episode. Most of the contradictions are against DC comics which is NOT Lucas Arts or Authors who again are not Lucas Arts or simple assumptions like Ventress being Rattatak because thats where she was found. NON Canon works against the CREATOR of Star Wars. Does Lucas need to clear up the time line for us. YES. Is the show Canon? Yes
