we vote you down because you have a very wierd opinion these armors are awesome! you could say you like phase 2 better but don't say it like that you think these are ugly.
they are not terrible just i kinda prefer dare i say it, the clone wars version of phase 1 or phase 2. I don't know just the details to me look a bit weird but still ok.
Phase-III? Since when is there a Phase-III? Unless you're referring to Storm Trooper armour or something. Or maybe you meant Phase-II which is the armour used by the Clones in Episode III.
It says that phase-II armour is both lighter and stronger. Also phase-I was known as body buckets to clones, as a direct hit would usually result in death.
Phase 1 was often updated in divisions who stuck with it rather than making the switch, there was much as much customization as in phase II in some groups by the end of the war.
Also, even though Wookieepedia says that Phase II was much more advanced and protective, if you watch, a direct hit normally kills no matter what armor a clone is in. I go by the movies first, then other stuff, and that's what is seen in the movies.
Yet if you watch, it's just about always easy to tell who a commanding officer is even in Phase II, just look at Cody and Gree, their armor was different from standard soldiers as well.
Well in Episode 3 there are many scenes where the clones get hit by blaster fire and are injured and not killed. One of these is obvious as the camera focuses on a paratrooper attending a injured clone. Also the other clone that gets shot down next to him moves on the ground, not much mind you, but it's apparent that the phase-II armour does it's job.
Meanwhile in Episode II every clone that gets hit on screen is dead. Now I know that it doesn't show many clones get shot in Episode II in the first place, but still the movies do show that the phase-II armour provides better protection.
Plus I think the phase-II armour looks so much cooler :P
The particular scene I am referring to can be seen here: Youtube.com
At around 0:35 is what I'm talking about. You may have to watch it a few times to see the second clone that gets shot move/twitch on the ground. It's a very good video too, unless you don't like seeing the CIS getting there butts kicked ;)
sad thing is, i think i know where the blue one appeared. Bobe Fett series (the one where he becomes a bounty hunter. book two (he is taken to dooku) cover art.
very cannon
It is pure canon. But what ever Dave does, is well... canon. Unless you murder him and say it is an accident.
canon but ugly......
ye dont need to vote me down just because of an opinion! Free internet. And ya commandos are sexy in their armor.

Should? they do look like that, and that's pretty freaking sweet!
i dont really like it near as muh as phase 3

Only one thing to say: They're cool, but commandos are more.
yeah i meant phase 2 my bad.
No problem ;)
I always liked this more, it's more rugged, and better protects clones. The only downside in my opinion is the fact that it hurts to sit down ;)
Actually phase-II clone armour has better protection.

The P2 armor is more down to earth since if army folk where this you would know which soldier to kill first: Yellow = commander = 1st kill.

These armors have a better look than the tv-show...
hey wait a sec, isnt the rifle that the regular white is holding from later in the wars?
