yea but its brilliant when it comes to providing close air support for ground troops or other friendly land based units during a beach landing op for example.
I mean imagine this thing launching multiple squadrons of heavily armored and armed Ka-50/Ka-52s, Mi-24 Hinds, & or Mi-28 multi purpose attack choppers o_o The Mi-14 anti submarine helicopters also add to its tactical flexibility.
Too bad all it really carried were a bunch of worthless Yak-38s and some naval helicopters in it's air-wings. The Ka-50s, Mi-28s and Mi-24s would've never been on this ship's airwing.
it looks like someone just took a destroyer and said "lets just slap a landing pad on the side, yeah lets do that" and this was the result
