Verdun is a squad-based multiplayer FPS in a realistic WW1 setting. The merciless trench warfare offers a unique battlefield for tactical squad play in the realistic Frontlines game mode, and raw gameplay in the rifle-deathmatch.

With the release of the Open Beta of Verdun we have received great response from the community. There has been a lot of positive feedback and bug reports. We are now working as hard as possible to improve the game even more and a lot has happened lately! We have done many bugfixes, added standalone, forum and some content updates.

Standalones:
We now offer standalones for Beta testing. Windows, Mac and even Linux is supported. This should fix all the previous performance issues and it allows for better graphics than the webplayer. Try it out yourself!

Forum:

We have launched the official Verdun forum. This is the place to discuss the game, see and discuss changelogs, report bugs, post feedback, join a clan or many more Verdun related stuff. We as developers are watching the forum closely and actively trying to join the discussions whenever we are not fixing bugs ;)!

Bugfixes and Updates:

We are very grateful for all your support in the Beta. We have received a lot of feedback and we are working on it to make the game better. A lot of bugs have been fixed and cool new features have been added to the Beta. Here is an overview of most changes of Verdun:

we have a whole bunch of weapons ready including the berthier, chauchat etc, we want to polish the weapon mechanics and gameplay first which has come a long way thanks to the webplayer alpha/beta. This game is growing every day so please do help us with feedback and your ideas on how to make the game better. Tell us what you would like to see.

The berthier would be very interesting to see, I've never seen it done well.

Hmm... there seems to be something wrong with the Linux build. On launch it states that the client is outdated, exits and then tries to download the MacOS patcher?

Hey,

At the moment the patcher for the Linux version is not working. Not sure if we will be able to fix that anytime soon. Solution is to download the full version again. (Luckily these are not that big).
