The world of The Settlers is lush, dynamic, and full of variety: large islands, deserts, dense forests, fertile countryside, mountains and fjords. A world with a rich history, and many a story. A world of several nations, each pursuing its own interests.
Build your town in this world in a way that it can grow and prosper. Gather resources and manage the food supply. Expand and improve your town by planning it with foresight and building roads and fortifications. Construct buildings to improve its productivity. Hire traveling entertainers and organize a fair to keep your settlers happy. Claim lands and villages, and establish trade relations to expand your kingdom and supply enough produce for your growing population of settlers.
Immerse yourself in your town and allow yourself to be captivated by the lively, realistic world you've created. You can follow the routes of all goods and resources. Watch woodcutters felling trees in the woods and transporting the wood in panniers or by cart to the storehouse. Should the wood from the sawmill be used for more valuable goods, or will you use it to construct buildings? Or follow the master builder as he transports building material by horse and cart on the roads you've built to the outskirts of the town, and then starts to build a wall.
What a fantastic world! But will your town stand the test of time? Your settlers have needs and lives of their own. If they have too little to eat, they will fall ill or feel threatened, and your town will come to a standstill. If they are well fed and happy, they will worship you. The seasons and extreme weather conditions will test your skills as a master builder. Have you enough food supplies to see your settlers through the harsh winter? Have you made sure that the woodcutters have not cut down all the trees in the forest, destroying the environment of the wild animals your hunters bring down for food? Other nations and settlements will try to loot your towns or even destroy them once they become rich and prosperous. Put your troops on your town walls to keep a lookout for enemies, or send them out to attack any foes trying to capture the last stone quarry from under your nose. Have you built a town that will collapse after the first heavy storm, or will it outlast the centuries?
In Campaign mode you can establish an empire with your knights and heroes that encompasses lands and continents. Choosing the right knights to master the diverse challenges of each mission is crucial. Will you go down in history as the greatest ruler of all times ?
In Freeplay mode you can settle maps at your own pace until the last territory is taken, all villages are connected to your town, and your subjects are all content. You can build large towns with your friends, or compete against them via a LAN or the Internet. And you can do all of this in the most detailed, graphically impressive world of any strategy game that has ever been brought to life on a PC.

Die Siedler ist eine Reihe von Aufbau-Strategiespielen, die schon mehr als 6 Spiele umfast. Dazu kommen noch etliche Add-ons sowie Remakes. Als dieses wurde vom Deutschen-Entwickler Studio Blue Byte Software kreirt. Das Studio wurde 1988 gegrüdnet und in 1991 haben sie ihr erstes erfolgreiches Spiel veröffentlicht - Battle Isle.
Das Gameplay der Siedler scheint simpel. Alles was ihr tuhen müsst ist wild mit der Maus zu klicken. Falsch! Nebenbei friedlich Gebäude zu bauen müsst ihr hinundwieder auch eure Taktik-Gehirnzellen nutzten. Denn das Hauptziel des Spieles ist und bleibt, die Ekönomische und Millitärische überlegenheit gegenüber den Gegner.
Das erste Siedler Spiel erschien 1993. Als erstes konnte man es nur auf dem Amiga spielen, aber kurz danach erschienen Die Siedler auch für MS-DOS. Die besonderheit des Spiels war ja darin, dass 2 Spieler gleichzeitig an einem Computer spielen konnten, gegeneinander oder im Team. So konnte sich zum Beispiel, einer für die Gebäude-aufbauung und der andere für die millitärische Züge kümmern. Zum Glück hatte die PC Version auch eine 640x480 unterschtüzung, wer will den schon auf einer 352x273 Auflösung mit Split-Screen spielen.
Am 17. April 1996 ging die Serie in die zweite runde, Die Siedler II – Veni, Vidi, Vici blieb, neben der neuen Grafik und anderen kleinen Verbessereunge, ein gewohntes Siedler Spiel. Aber troztdem haben Die Siedler II, die Welt verblüfft, es hatte mehr Animationen als ein normales Strategie Speil in dieser Zeit, und unterschtüzte auch eine Zoomstufe. Mit einem Level-Editor konnte man siene eigenen Karten erstellen und dann zu sienen Freunden weiterschicken, natürlich in Form von Dateien.
Die Siedler III das erste Siedler-Spiel das Lan und Internet Mehrfach-Spieler unterstüzte. Das ganze erschien an den 14. Dezember 1998, jetzt ausgestattet mit einen CD-Kopierschutz, um Raubkopien zu verhindern. Dies jedoch erweisste sich als eine schlechte Idee, es tratten viele bemerkvolle Einschränkungen ein.

Eine deutliche Grafische Verbesserung erwiesen Die Siedler IV. Aber im wesentlichen ist es auf dem Vorgänger Die Siedler III. Das Spiel unterstützte eine Stuffenlose Zoom Technik und brauchte dazu noch ein neues Volk - das Dunkle Volk, dies war aber nur von der KI möglich zu spielen.
Mit dem AddOn Die Siedler IV: Die Trojaner und das Elixier der Macht haben noch andere Völker wie, Römer, Wikinger, Mayas, Trojaner, dazugekommen.
Die Siedler – Das Erbe der Könige (2004) ist das erste Siedler Spiel das komplett in 3D gehalten wirt. Es war auch das erste Siedler Spiel die von UbiSoft gepublished wurde. Von den Ressourcen blieben nur noch Lehm, Holz, Stein, Eisen und Schwefel übrig, und Taler als Geld. Neu ist auch dass man die geförderte Rohstoffe auch veredeln konnte, und sie somit effektiv vermehren konnte.
Der letzte erschienender Teil von Blue Byte ist Die Siedler - Aufstieg eines Königreichs. Die Siedler VI erschien am 28. September 2007. Es sind hier so gut wie keine Gemeinsamkeiten zu den alten Teilen mehr zu erkennen.

Iam played this game.I started in 2007.My computer is strong that i can play in medium graphic and other stuff.I loved to mod this game.Make some modifications.And i have pure original DVD-RW Settlers:Rise of an empire.I think that i have a last version.
Ive been playin this game for a very long time and have been lookin forward to this bein put up.
