The Real Texas is an action adventure game that plays like a mashup of Zelda: Link to the Past and Ultima VI. Sam, an ordinary Texas rancher, is on holiday in England when he falls into a blue portal and lands in Strange, Texas. The Real Texas is a pretty even balance between exploration/problem solving, and shooting/dungeons. There are no standard fetch quests or the like but the NPCs in the game all play a part in the unfolding of the story.

Hi Everybody!

Texas is a land of mystery. This is true of real life and also of the purgatory dimension that is Strange.

This forum is for players to help each other get past tricky situations, or share secrets or tips. I can't contribute to this forum: it's my game dev code of honour. If something is truly too obscure to be figured out, then I should have put a better hint int the game somehow, in the first place. So I can only watch.

  • If it's tech support or feedback, please use the appropriate forum instead! This one is just for hints and help, more or less.
  • Post any question, observation, or idea you want-- related to the game itself. If you have gotten into a tight spot, you can try the Kitty Lambda forums, too: Forums.kittylambda.com where there is a player help-o-drome set up, exactly like this one, but that is already full of answers and hints.
  • At this point, you really shouldn't run into any major bugs. So if you think you're in a situation, take heart. However: you can post a question to the support forum, if you think you've found a bug, and if it's not a bug, I promise to simply answer: "not a bug." This ensures you wont' have a puzzle or other situation spoiled for you.
