Scott Games' latest freeware title, The Desolate Hope, features stunning artwork, a gripping sci-fi story, and its coffee pot protagonist. It also packs a triple punch with three distinct gameplay types. The side scrolling action has different platforming elements for each section, overhead adventure distills fun elements of a classic Zelda (including walls you can walk through or destroy) and the turn-based, RPG-style boss battles bring challenging gameplay.

A great game. A mix of styles, it isn't a game you would find anywhere. It has a survival element, while still being a platformer, and sometimes turning into a RPG. Amazing game.
