The Ancients is a game set on Earth. In 200BC. The Roman Republic is slowly taking the mediterranean by storm, the second of the punic wars has just ended, yet the war against Macedon has just begun - and this is just in Italy. Travel and explore the land and peoples, from the Lusitanians of the Iberian Peninsula to the ancient Ainu of Japan.
Here is the south-east section of the Forum Romanum, so far. Now that I've built up most of the buildings, I've been able to draw out the viewability boundaries (thick black lines) of the player.
Visible is the Regia (top left), Atrium Vestae (bottom right, half-constructed!), Aedes Castoris (Bottom left) and Aedes Vestae (round pillared construction).
Atrium Vestae is at an acceptable level(Unshaded/textured, though), so now I can move on. I'll be coming back to the Forum Romanum in the future, in any case.
roof of the left and the building next to the soldier thingy needs work: lacking of detail and is looking quite messy
other than that you got some cool stuff going on here.
