¿WHAT IS CAELUM?
Caelum is the first part of a trilogy called "Ted's trilogy". In "Ted's trilogy" we get into the skin of Ted, a middle-aged man discovering who he is and what has happened. The world in which develops caelum is not a normal world. It is a dark and empty world, made only of fragments of reality that appear to have survived a huge cataclysm. In caelum each of our choices will mark our destiny, creating a variety of different endings. Only a few will lead us to discover what is happening.
Caelum will be a 3D game with handmade textures.
Ted is the main character of Caelum, is a middle-aged man, although unfortunate appearance, as if depressed. Ted wakes up disoriented in the ruins of his house and he don´t know who is he and what happened.
Throughout Caelum, the player must discover who is Ted.
2. THE ANGEL
Ted is awakened from his sleep by "the angel", "the Angel" accompany to Ted along his trip and he will offer to Ted help and advice.
"The Angel" is more like a demon, is black, has a horrible wings torn, his body ends in a long tail and gray wisps of smoke seen giving "the Angel" a ghostly appearance.
Ted does not rely too much on "the Angel", in fact "The Angel" sometimes acts so treacherous.
3. THE MONSTERS
The Monsters are horrendous beings that occasionally be crossed on the Ted´s way. The Monsters will not come to destroy Ted (though give that feeling to the player). The aim of Monsters is forcing Ted to make a concrete decision eliminating the other possibilities.
Eliminate the Monsters not be too complicated (especially with the help of "the Angel) but if it will be a challenging and an element that can break the monotony in game.
Perhaps this game is too complicate for my actual knowledges about game desing and I don´t want to do a bad project, because I am a gamer and I know when a game is a bad game, if I create a game I have the need to do a great game. By this reason I want use a good game engine, I think UDK, that´s not easy and too much time is required.
Too much people have recomended to me to create a basic game to begin in game design. And I am doing another game, Glitch Boy, a pseudo 2D game, this game is most easy to do that Caelum, but is not a simple o basical game. And I hope you like it this new project.
