Stellar Assault: FSO is an independent project by fans of the Original game to create a whole new Space Flight experience for the PC. Focusing more on Classic Sega Arcade-styled gameplay, Stellar Assault FSO is meant to be a fast paced, action-packed homage to the the Arcade Shoot-em-ups of yore. Ship models and gameplay are heavily influenced by the 32x version of Stellar Assault, while the story and atmosphere is strongly guided by the Saturn Version. All in all, SA:FSO combines elements from both games to create a fresh single-player experience.
This model has been a long time coming, but I am finally finished. And also quite proud of this one. The current texture is as we had envisioned for the last month or so, and as a proof of concept in terms of layout and general appearance, I am happy to say that all future Terran Capships will have a texture like this. We have a method and technique perfected (finally) and we are prepared to follow through with the other models we have in the pipeline.
