StarForge is a game about gathering resources, building bases, buying weapons, using strategy, and destroying your opponent’s bases to win the match. It is real time and set in a first or third person perspective. Set on an alien planet, the theme is high technology, mixed with old world building mechanics. Earth has been depleted and the humans transferred as much technology and resources as possible and left on a one way mission to populate another planet. They must forge a new star.

We're happy to announce that we've made our $75,000 goal on the morning of November 11th! Huge thanks to everyone who believed in us and our project - we've been at work preparing the rewards for people who have pledged.
Now we can develop StarForge for a year straight, without needing to worry about getting kicked out of our apartments and freezing to death on the streets! :D

Despite having reached our main goal, it seems as though our fans are still steadily pledging funds for us. Together we've all raised almost 77,000 dollars. It continues to rise by the hour, and we need your help to make sure it stays that way! :) The more people contribute, the more room we will have to make StarForge a better game:

- We'll have more time to add features, and polish existing features.
- We'll be able to buy new software, servers, etc.
- We'd be able to commission other artists and developers to help us make components of the game.
- Finally, depending on how much we make we could bring in new talent to be part of the CodeHatch team.

We've outlined what your additional contributions will go towards on our IndieGoGo page:
You can read details about them here:

We'll be making updates (hopefully with video) going into more detail about how we hope to implement the features listed above and why the additional funding is important.

Again, a huge thanks to everyone! A special thank-you goes to the ModDB community who has been a positive force for us since the very beginning!

Glad you guys made your goal, this is definitely a game I want to buy, sadly I have to wait until my internship at my job is over for me to buy it myself. Until then, keep up the amazing work!

I can't imagine what it is like to be paid to do what you love, without any restrictions like being in a 'real' dev studio. This business model is truly the future of PC games.

I just bought the game today, looking awesome. Seems like the download page isn't functionally correctly right now, though. Anyways, I hope to be playing it at least by this evening!

Thanks for making a frikkin' awesome looking game and keep at the good work!
