Star Wars: Jedi Knight II is a series of games evolving around the phenomenally popular Star Wars movie franchise. Many spin off games have resulted but few have captured the nature of the force and all awesome things associated such as wielding a light saber as well as this game. Very nice to see a new map set for JK2!
May I ask, if it is known which levels can be played in languages other than English? I have seen in the rotds.pk3 that there are some new character voice lines. Can it be said, that there are levels, which use only the voice lines from JK2, but none of the new added ones?
I'm just considering, if this map set can be played partially in German for example, without mixing it with English in one level.
I do not recall anymore if mixing languages is even possible in the JK games in the Quake III engine. Maybe the English voice lines are quit if German language is selected, that could be.
The new character voice lines are for the JK3 characters but I think there are JK3 characters in almost all levels. Indeed I just put the English voice lines in the pk3 but if you have the JK3 assets, I think you can copy the voice lines of the language you want to the RevengeOfTheDarkSide folder.
Always nice to see new maps. Pretty good so far but a bit too much walking back and forth and searching hidden buttons and other triggers (2nd map). Currently also a bit stuck on the third map.
Managed to get through a few maps but i must say this is insanely random. It's also fun and cool but sometimes it's just weird and completely unclear what to do. Specially ''building'' is really weird and i have no idea how to complete it. Also got hard stuck on it for sniping the stormtrooper in the jail.
Yes, I totally agree that these levels are highly random ^^. In "The Building", you have to press the action key in front of Jan's cell to make her call the stormtrooper. After that, you are able to mindtrick the stormtrooper to make him open the door. But I agree that this isn't obvious.
for some reason on the building level when I try to use the keycards on one of the doors, I keep getting a message saying that I need a security key, despite, yet in my inventory I have at least two on me
it's because you didn't find the right key for the door, maybe you miss some of them on shelfs
I copied the folder into GameData, but upon starting a new game I'm getting an error
R_LoadMD3: models/weapons2/imp_pistol/imp_pistol_w.md3 has LOD 1 but is missing LOD 0
('models/weapons2/imp_pistol/imp_pistol_w.md3')!
I am, however, trying with OpenJK.
