Free demo with no time restrictions! Play Space Salvager, save your progress, load it using the full version later!
Forge your own path, your own destiny. Live on the fringes of society and pick the bones of the fallen. Become a miner and trawl the constellation for exotic ores. Take the fight to wherever you choose, hunting pirates and renegades from port to port.
You choose what ship to use, what metal to make it out of, what equipment to put on it. You choose what to specialise in, the more you play the better you become, the more you use something the better it becomes. You choose where to go, what missions to take, where to fly and when. There are threats, the unforgiving cartel, unstable wreckage and even mining asteroids can be lethal.

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally happening.
If you've already purchased from IndieGameStand then you can redeem your Desura key now I believe, although you may have to wait to download it. If you've bothered me for a key on twitter then that should be working too.
There's an article I posted up in IndieDB in 2012 talking about being published on Desura, for all that time though it has done wonders for the game. The HUD has been completed redesigned, so has the player and station menus so they actually look a tiny bit pretty. Space Salvager is now a game I am quite proud to say 'I made', not a perfect game but a legacy that I will continue to develop and add to as time goes on... and it is tremendously fun to shoot pirates: they're hard as nails but it's great when you finally get that kill.
Something I have been forgetting to mention, it is cooperative:

I don't know what you all do with your Fridays, but today I'm trying on a suit... of studded leather armour! And it barely fits anymore.

@CWolf It's difficult because it is my fault and I have a long history of releasing stuff with class A bugs. I QA'd this one hard though.

How do you response to a player calling you an arsehole? Go make dinner, remind yourself of the all the positive things people have said.

Awesome, someone on Steam called me an arsehole. In their defence I did set it to download OpenAL instead of XNA...
