Last two weeks have been pretty busy, I have made a few object models, some animations, textures for needs and some behind the scenes coding. New objects are:
- food table
- cooking machine
- food storage
- drone
- drone base
Food table, drones and drone base have their own animations. Textures include health, food, water, sleep, storage, serving, cooking and electric charge. Then there was some working on the AI module to add Kitchen Staff and Drone entities, this was followed by coding in Unity to handle the requests generated by the AI module.
I also added a skybox and fiddled a bit with the UI, most notably player has an indication of his needs displayed in the top left corner and the rest of the UI is more easy too see on the dark background introduced by the skybox. It's actually pretty satisfying to see the NPCs respond to their needs, with just a handful of them, it already feels like the station is busy with people doing their own thing.
